METHODOLOGY

The European Ethical Entrepreneur Profile is based on a process of research (literature review and in-depth EYE case study analysis) and stakeholder consultations (10 focus groups) in the 10 European cities involved in the EYEE project.

The elaboration of IO2 started from the establishment of the research criteria related with trainings for ethical entrepreneurship at local and European level.

The study for the elaboration of  the European Ethical Entrepreneur Profile started from a literature review at European level referring to entrepreneurship as a competence.

We started from the Key Competences For Lifelong Learning – A European Reference Framework, annex of the recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 on key competences for lifelong learning. 

As main reference it has taken EntreComp: The Entrepreneurship Competence Framework from 2016.

From local point of view we analyzed EYE experience developed in Tuscany from 2012 to 2017 and ongoing local activities in school year 2017/2018. 

After mixing the refer to the Key Competences For Lifelong Learning Framework and EntreComp to the EYE local experience case study with the results of the 10 focus groups, it is elaborated a simple and schematic unified content related with Ethical Entrepreneurship.

On the base of this content is built on eyee platform www.eyee.eu the structure of EYEE practical entrepreneurial experience.

THE ACTIVITIES

In the months of November and December 2017, as planned in the project timetable, ARTES as leading organization worked on establishing criteria related with trainings for ethical entrepreneurship at national and European level.

The idea of building an ideal profile, with a practical use as basis to build-up the training program and modules of EYEE, matching the different aspects which characterize the real experience of doing business and being entrepreneur with the knowledge which can be achieved in the formal education system, was confirmed.

It was decided to do a preliminary study of the Key Competences For Lifelong Learning – A European Reference Framework and of EntreComp: The Entrepreneurship Competence Framework together with the confirmation of the organization at local level different focus groups.

After discussion during the kick-off meeting in Florence among all the partners it was confirmed the idea to involve entrepreneurs, teachers, professionals, trainers, students and local authorities.

Artes created some useful tools to organize and coordinate the local focus group:

  • A questionnaire
  • An attendance list precompiled
  • A template for focus group organization
  • A template for focus group reporting

In the following months, from December 2017 to September 2018, there were organized 10 focus groups in 10 European cities in the countries involved in the project:

THE RESULTS 

All the partners produced a report of their local focus group and ARTES elaborated the results.

After 9 focus group there was the elaboration of the profile and the 10  and last focus group was about to confirm the results and finalize the profile.

Young Entrepreneur most important characteristics are 4: Ethics, Motivation, Idea and Team.

He passes from ideas to actions using Communication Skills, strong Business Model and Planning, creating and cultivating a Network and he is stronger with his European Identity.
